WHY THIS MATTERS
Starlink dishes need a clear, unobstructed view of sky. Satellites low on the horizon (under ~25°) are the ones most likely to be blocked by trees, roofs, or hills near you — and they give a weaker, noisier signal even with a clear view. When few satellites sit above 40°, your dish has fewer good options to connect to and handoffs between satellites get rougher.

Good geometry (>40° elevation)
Marginal (25–40°)
Low / obstruction risk (<25°)
Dot size = how close to directly overhead the reference point — bigger means nearer zenith.
